Q&A

Booking Travel

Do I have to use your travel coordinator to book my hotel room?

Yes - We have enlisted the help of a professional travel agency specializing in South Asian destination weddings to secure group rates for guests that come with perks and conveniences to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable!
Therefore, rooms must be booked through the link on the Travel tab in order to attend wedding events, secure the rate, and receive wedding group promotions. This also ensures we have access to consolidated information to easily track guest details from one location.

Do I have to use your travel coordinator to book my flight?

No - You are welcome to book flights on your own. The closest airport is Cancun International Airport (CUN).

Do I need to coordinate transportation from the airport to the resort?

No - We will be providing roundtrip transportation from the Cancun airport to the hotel upon your arrival, and back to the airport upon your departure. Please be sure to enter your flight information in the travel portal when booking your room (or as soon as you've booked your flight) so we can arrange for your pickup!

Do I need a passport?

Yes - and maybe more!
US Citizens traveling to Mexico must have a valid passport expiring at least 6 months from the date of entry into Mexico.
Indian Citizens will also need to obtain a tourist visa unless they have a valid US Visa or are permanent residents of Canada, UK, or Japan.

How do I book my room?

Please visit the Travel tab at the top of our website and click the link to the booking site. From there, you will be able to explore your room options and prices.
If the room category you would like to book is sold out, please reach out to us. We will work with our travel agent to add more rooms of that category to our room block if available with the resort!
Wedding Logistics

Can I bring a guest?

Due to venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate plus ones and significant others listed on your RSVP.

Can I bring my kids?

Children listed on your RSVP are absolutely invited to all wedding events!
For those guests who would prefer to attend some or all wedding events child-free, the resort offers on-site babysitting services for a fee. We just ask that you please specify which events your children will be attending when filling out your RSVP form for headcount purposes.
If you are interested in finding out more about the resort's babysitting services, please let us know! We also encourage you to check out the resort's extensive list of kid's activities, including the Kids Club with daily organized activities (9am-5pm, ages 4-12), teens club, water park, bowling alley ($), and laser tag ($), to name a few!

What is the dress code?

Please visit the Attire tab of our wedding website for a comprehensive dress code guide for each event.

When do I need to RSVP by?

Please RSVP no later than September 30, 2024.
Resort Information

Is the water safe to drink?

While guests should avoid drinking tap water from their hotel room sinks, all water and ice served at restaurants and bars is purified and completely safe to drink! Additionally, bottled water will be available extensively throughout the resort and replenished in your room every day (and you can always request more through room service free of charge!).

What is customary for tipping at an all inclusive resort?

Because gratuity is included in your all inclusive resort rate, tipping is a discretionary and optional gesture. Tipping those who provide you with food, beverage, or a service lets them know you appreciate the extra effort and encourages hospitality staff to take your service to the next level.
You are welcome to tip in either US dollars or Mexican pesos. The smallest bill in Mexican currency is 20 pesos (equal to about $1.18 USD).

What is included in the all inclusive resort rate?

5-Star accommodations  |  Casual and à la carte dining  |  Beverages (alcoholic and otherwise)  |  Delicious snacks  |  24/7 in-room service  |  Land sports  |  Fitness center  'Born to Run' Jogging track  |  Pool and beachside service  |  Daily activities  |  Nightly entertainment  |  Live entertainment  |  Free Wi-Fi in room and resort wide  |  Parking Free  |  Unlimited phone calls to the continental US and Canada  |  Gratuities included

What is NOT included in the all inclusive resort rate?

Certain premium experiences and upgrades may have an additional cost, including (but not limited to):
Spa treatments  Optional tours  |  Golf  |  Gift shop items  |  Medical assistance (there is a charge for medication and doctor's consultation should those be necessary)  |  Bowling alley  |  Laser tag  |  HyperX gaming lounge  |  Various food and alcohol upgrades at restaurants

What is the best way to exchange money if needed?

Typically, all resort expenses listed above as not included in the all-inclusive rate can be charged to your room and/or paid with credit card. Cash may be needed for tips, taxis (if leaving the resort), or excursions not booked directly through the resort.
The best way to exchange money is through your bank prior to the trip as you will get the best exchange rate.
The resort also has an ATM in the lobby, subject to service fees.
Exchanging money at the airport, resort, or tourist centers will generally give you the worst exchange rate, so we recommend avoiding this and planning ahead.

What is the weather going to be like?

April marks the end of the dry season in Riviera Maya, with hot temperatures and hours of sunshine. Expect highs in the mid-upper 80s and lows in the mid 70s at night. Events will be held both indoors and outdoors (events will be moved inside as needed due to inclement weather).

Does the resort have an adults only section?

Yes - Hard Rock Riviera Maya has two sections: Heaven (adults only) and Hacienda (adults and kids). All wedding events will be held on the Hacienda side, and those staying at Heaven will have full access to Hacienda's facilities and amenities. For those looking for an adults only resort option with kid-free pools and restaurants, we have reserved a limited number of rooms in our room block at Heaven. The resort has golf carts to transport guests between the Hacienda and Heaven lobbies.
